The first edition of the Puerto Inírida Entrepreneurship Meeting, an initiative created and coordinated by the Colombian Aerospace Force, the Municipal Mayor's Office and allied institutions such as the SENA, the Agrarian Bank, the National Land Agency, the Corporation for Sustainable Development of the North and East Amazon (CDA), the Colombian Navy and the National Police of the department, led to strengthen popular activities, benefiting indigenous communities hit by the recent wave of rains.
Within the framework of the Meeting, the distribution of land titles that legalized the ownership of 200 hectares of land was highlighted, thanks to the work of the National Land Agency and the inter-institutional contribution. In addition, the Agrarian Bank for Peasants provided differential loans to support local activities.
The event was held by the Comprehensive operation Section of the Eastern Air Group, the Municipal Planning Secretariat and the Agriculture sector, whose efforts led to the organization of each space so that all participants could find a successful and innovative agroindustrial and cultural fair. During the activity, stands were set up in which typical products of the region were exhibited, such as casaba (manioc), mañoco, traditional chili peppers, ornamental plants, fish, dairy products such as cheeses and milk, in addition to typical meats. In the same way, handicrafts made by indigenous hands were also shown, highlighting ancestral knowledge and community work.
Additionally, students held cultural events throughout the day from schools of the city, who performed traditional dances, as well as musical shows presented by guest orchestras, such as Sensación Tropical, which delighted all participants with folk and tropical music, thus preserving the cultural manifestations of the department of Guainía.
