The State Aviation Authority, AAAES, participated in the European Defense Agency (EDA) Military Airworthiness Conference, held in The Hague, Netherlands, in coordination with the Military Aviation Authority of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The meeting, framed in the Forum of Military Airworthiness Authorities, MAWA, under the motto Mission first, Safety always and EMAR forever, brought together authorities, international organizations and industrial actors. During the event, issues related to airworthiness in crisis, the adoption of European Military Airworthiness Requirements, EMAR, and interoperability conducted by allied nations were addressed.
The AAAES, represented by Mayor Mauricio L贸pez G贸mez, Strategic Specialist of Aeronautical Development, participated in the panel on global implementation of airworthiness standards outside the European framework, together with delegations from Australia, India, Canada and the United Arab Emirates, presenting experiences, challenges and strategies for the harmonization of EMARS with national regulatory frameworks. During his speech, the Colombian model that integrates complementary areas such as constructions, personnel and governance was highlighted, promoting airworthiness as a national strategic capability.
The participation of the AAAES led to strengthening international cooperation, consolidating Colombia's positioning in the global airworthiness ecosystem and reaffirming the institutional commitment to military operation safety, interoperability and compliance with international standards.
