Family hit by rains season in Santa Fe de Antioquia was evacuated in an aircraft of the Colombian Air Force

After being alerted by departmental and municipal authorities, Colombian Air Force crews reacted from Air Combat Command No.5, in Rionegro Antioquia, to carry out the humanitarian aeromedical evacuation of a family that was hit by heavy rains.

 

According to the report of the Administrative Department of Risk Management Antioquia – DAGRAN, after a mass terrain movement occurred in the village Laureles, in the municipality of Santa Fe de Antioquia, were hit about seven families and their homes, with two presumed missing and some wounded, among them a family made up of four people, who due to injuries needed to be helped urgently.

 

This family made up of father, mother, and two children, was evacuated in a helicopter Angel of the Institution of the Air, despite the adverse weather conditions, the aircraft came to this rural area for the transfer of people, three of them were transported in the urban area of the municipality and the woman in the Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe, Medellín, to receive specialized medical care, according to their diagnosis.

 

During the flight, doctors and nurses on board the aircraft monitored their vital signs in order to transport the patients in stable condition to the health personnel who were waiting for them at the respective care centers.
