A few meters from houses where children live, dissidents of the Second Marquetalia had installed launching means to attack military units in Nariño

A pocos metros de viviendas donde habitan niños

The quick reaction of the Military Forces led to neutralize this terrorist intention with which individuals planned to hit the inhabitants and the Military Forces.

Through military operations, framed within the Ayacucho Joint Strategic Campaign Plan Tiempo 2- In the last few hours, troops of the Joint Task Force Hercules, found and destroyed four launching pads and four explosive devices, in a rural area of the municipality of Tumaco, Nariño.

These dangerous elements were found by troops in the village of El Playón, a few meters from peasant houses and an indigenous reserve, whose main economic activity is fishing and Cacao cultivation. This use of explosives is a terrorist operation and a flagrant violation of International Humanitarian Law, where the life and tranquility of the inhabitants of the Pacific Coast are put at risk.

The Óliver Sinisterra criminal structure of the Guerrilla Coordination of the Pacific (Segunda Marquetalia) of the FARC dissidents, by installing these improvised launching pads and leaving their detonations to chance, cause great anxiety and terror in the inhabitants of the municipality of Tumaco, thus restricting the daily activities of the inhabitants, who to protect their good physical condition must stay at home.

In the same way, thanks to the timely reaction of the anti-explosive technicians of the Military Forces, it was possible to restore tranquility to the citizens, who arrived at the point and after cordoning off the surroundings, proceeded to neutralize the elements, which if manipulated or activated could have caused serious damages.
