Within the framework of the Ayacucho Campaign Plan and within the framework of stability tasks carried out by Colombian National Army in coordination with the National Police, an individual accused of being alias Lino, alleged chief of finance of the Organized Armed Group First Structure of the FARC dissidents, was arrested in the urban area of Miraflores, Guaviare.
This guy, 58 years old, had been delinquent in the organization for more than 12 years. He had a valid arrest warrant for the crimes of association to commit aggravated crimes for the purposes of extortion, drug trafficking and forced displacement.
Alias Lino would be that one who carried out criminal operations in Barranquillita, Puerto Zancudo and Puerto C贸rdoba, municipality of Miraflores; Salto Gloria and La Paz, of Calamar, Guaviare. In the same way, and according to intelligence information, this individual apparently received more than 300 million pesos per month approximately, product of the storage and transportation of coca paste base and extortion of the inhabitants of the region.
In the same way, this individual would be controlling through intimidating acts the planting of illicit plantations, all illicit sources of financing of this structure of the Organized Armed Group of the FARC dissidents, for the purchase and exchange of weapons, ammunition and explosives, used for their criminal and terrorist purposes.
With this arrest, the troops of the Jungle Brigade No. 22 deal a resounding blow to the finances and networks of support for terrorism of the Organized Armed Group First Structure of the FARC dissidents, in the department of Guaviare, under the criminal command of Ivan Mordisco, who will stop receiving more than 3000 million pesos annually (about USD 705,000) approximately, product of these illicit activities, which represents great loses for this criminal capacity.
The arrested man was put into custody of the authorities and will be put in prosecution process.
Colombian National Army continues to firmly and decisively carry out military operations in favor of the dismantling of all factors of instability that threaten humane security in the territory, within the framework of respect for the Human Rights and the International Law of Armed Conflict.
