Approximately 300 kilograms of explosives, war items, military accessories and banners alluding to the group were found by troops at the site.
Troops of the 30th Brigade of Colombian National Army, Dijín of the Police and the Second Prosecutor's Office of the Special Task Group, by means of a search warrant, found an illegal hiding place with abundant war items, explosives, military accessories and proselytizing elements alluding to the residual organized armed group, Structure 33, Ernesto Galvis Company, in the village Filo El Pajuil, rural area of Ocaña, department of Norte de Santander.
The military and police officers arrived at the point where these elements were found, which would be used to carry out a possible terrorist action against military units and inhabitants.
At the place were found by troops 3 rifles, a grenade launcher, a pistol, a revolver, 10 40 mm grenades, 10 rifle magazines, ammunition of different calibers, a hand grenade, approximately 300 kilograms of explosives, documents of interest, banners and bracelets alluding to this group.
In this way, the armed wing of the criminal structure is directly hit and its criminal acts in the Catatumbo region are prevented. The elements were put into custody of the authorities for their respective prosecution.
As part of the Ayacucho Plan, Colombian National Army continues to carry out military operations that contribute to the security of the region.
