In the framework of the permanent operation of the Military Forces against the Organized Armed Groups -GAO-, in development of joint operations, the Navy of Colombia and the National Army found elements of communications and materials and military accessories of the Military Forces, in the municipality of Opogadó, in the department of the Department of Chocó.
In development of control and surveillance patrols in rural area of Opogadó, Department of Chocó, units of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No. 16 and Infantry Battalion No. 12 of to the Joint Task Force Titan, it was possible to identify an individual, who upon noticing the presence of the authorities, undertook escape abandoning a backpack that contained inside four communication radios, three radio antennas, three computer equipment, 20 accessories and spare parts of Intercom radios and clothing for the exclusive use of the Colombian military forces.
According to preliminary information, these elements belong to members of the Pablo José Montalvo Cuitiva substructure of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
