Troops of the Command Against Drug Trafficking and Transnational Threats (CONAT), together with soldiers of the Second Division, found a mined area, apparently with a remote control activation system, in the village of Versalles in the municipality of Tibú.
This minefield was made of 8 40-kilo gas cylinders loaded with explosives, 300 meters of two wire cable and 16 electric detonators. Once verified, the military personnel of the MARTE Group proceeded to carry out its destruction in controlled conditions.
