Finding of more than two tons of marijuana that would belong to the GAOr Jaime Martinez

Incautadas más de dos toneladas de marihuana que pertenecería al GAOR ‘Jaime Martínez’

The Colombian Navy, within the framework of river operations, seized more than two tons of marijuana in the municipality of López de Micay, department of Cauca.

Thanks to information provided by Naval Intelligence, troops of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No. 42, found an illegal hiding place in the village of La Candelaria, a rural area of the municipality of López de Micay, finding 2,249 kilograms of marijuana inside.

It is presumed that this hiding place would belong to the Residual Organized Armed Group -GAO-r-, Structure 6, Jaime Martínez.

The illegal merchandise would cost more than 13 million dollars. In the same way, through this result, the distribution of more than 373 thousand doses of marijuana was prevented, significantly damaging the finances of this criminal organization and reducing the risks to public health and security in the region.

The material was put into custody of the Attorney General's Office for the corresponding legal procedures.
