In the village El Cedral of the municipality of Ituango, department of Antioquia, within the framework of the Ayacucho Campaign Plan, troops of the Fourth Brigade of Colombian National Army, damaged the Rub茅n Dar铆o 脕vila substructure of the GAO Clan del Golfo, leaving as a result, one dead and two arrested. War materiel and military accessories were in the same way found in the operation.
With the damage to this armed substructure it was possible to reduce the criminal operations of this gang, its financial activities; its drug trafficking and extortion and terrorist operations against the inhabitants are reduced.
At this time, the military operation is constantly being carried out in the sector with the aim of raising the security of the inhabitants of these municipalities in the North of Antioquia.
