More than 3,000 soldiers benefited from this initiative led by the Seventh Division of the National Army.

In the facilities of the Military base of the Fourth Brigade, in Medellín, troops conducted the first business and support services fair Te apoyo en mi empresa, which had the purpose of providing opportunities to young people who finish their compulsory military service and those who complete the preparation program for retirement, after 20 years of service in the institution.

On this occasion, more than 2,500 soldiers of the first contingent of 2021 who are completing their military service and more than 500 privates who are retiring, participate in this activity in which several companies from Antioquia, and institutions such as SENA - National Learning Service, work to provide employment opportunities and academic instruction.

In accordance with the regulations established by the aforementioned institutions, soldiers, once they enter civilian life, will be able to work in activities such as pharmacy assistants, heavy machinery operators, automotive and Diesel mechanics, ports security, electronics technicians, refrigeration, computer systems and private security, among other specialties, while they can continue their academic training.

With this type of activities, the National Army seeks to provide a better quality of life and favourable conditions of work for those who spent a time of their life, protecting and providing security to the Colombians who live in the departments of Antioquia, Córdoba, Chocó, part of Sucre, part of Santander, South of the Bolivar, and the municipality of Puerto Boyacá, Boyacá.
