In Bogot谩 there is an academic space to exchange knowledge.
Colombian National Army of Colombia and the National Police are holding the First International Military and Police Conference on Doctrine and Lessons Learned, on September 23 and 24, at the facilities of the General Jos茅 Mar铆a C贸rdova Cadet Military School.
This high-level academic meeting brings together official delegations and experts from Brazil, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, the United States and Peru, with the purpose of strengthening cooperation and the exchange of experiences in military and police matters.
There, the relevance of the consolidation of the ground domain and the effective response to unconventional threats, which disturb the security of the country and the well-being of the communities, were addressed.
In the current context, there are increasingly complex and multifaceted challenges, so the updating and harmonization of military and police doctrines are fundamental to contribute to national sovereignty, as well as to strengthen regional collaboration.
The conference will lead to analyze lessons learned in real operations and environments, promoting comprehensive strategies that respond to the new threat modalities.
Doctrinal modernization will be addressed among the central topics, as well as the use of technology and the exchange of information that contributes to operations; these aspects are key to maintaining ground dominance in a globalized and dynamic environment.
