Four laboratories of the residual GAO “Oliver Sinisterra” were dismantled in Barbacoas, Nariño

In compliance with the Bicentenary Campaign Plan “Heroes de la Libertad”, troops of the Rapid Deployment Force No. 2, attached to the Joint Task Force Hercules, the Drug Trafficking Brigade and the National Police, find and destroy three illegal laboratories for the production of coca base paste and one for the production of cocaine hydrochloride, in La Falda, in the municipality of Barbacoas, in Nariño.

 

The operations in the area against the residual Organized Armed Group  Oliver Sinisterra led to the dismantling of seven structures, where more than 200 kilograms of coca base paste, 1,200 kilograms of coca leaf, 909 gallons of processed gasoline, two “Martians” and material used for drug production were found.

 

According to intelligence information, this result hits the illicit activities of this group in more than 600 million pesos, in addition to preventing drug trafficking activities in the area. The materials and the structures were destroyed under controlled conditions in the area of ​​operations, fully complying with all the measures for preserving the environment.
