In the island of Providencia, a traffic accident left a man with a fracture in his right leg. Given the urgency of the situation, an evacuation operation was activated towards San Andr茅s, coordinated by the National Personnel Recovery Center.
The patient's condition required assistance in a hospital of greater complexity, so he was taken on an aircraft of the Caribbean Air Group. The crew, together with the medical team on board, was responsible for stabilizing him during the flight until landing.
Upon arrival in San Andr茅s, an ambulance of the Clarence Lynd Newball Memorial Departmental Hospital was waiting ready to continue with the care process without interruptions. Thanks to this rapid inter-institutional response, the patient received specialized care as soon as possible.
This type of humanitarian missions reflect the permanent commitment of the Colombian Aerospace Force to the protection of the life and well-being of the island communities, ensuring access to timely health services to those who need it most in the Archipelago of San Andr茅s, Providencia and Santa Catalina.
