After a successful medical and humanitarian assistance activity that took place in the village of El Placer, in the municipality of El Cerrito, Valle del Cauca, it was possible to provide more than 1,500 free treatments in different specialties of the health area.
Citizens had the opportunity to comprehensively access professionals and specialists in general medicine, dermatology, pediatrics, gynecology, gerontology, dentistry, speech therapy, physiotherapy and pre-hospital care. In addition, a legal advisory and consultations with both psychologists and social workers were sent to resolve the doubts of people who needed guidance in these areas.
During the activity, the benefited citizens received 1,508 donations including Grooming Kits and Books. Additional services of hairdressing, cosmetic nail care, chiropractic, pharmacy, vaccination, general and gynecological ultrasound, subdermal implant and both breast and HIV examinations were given.
Thanks to the coordination of efforts conducted by the Mayor's Office of El Cerrito, the People's Representative for Legal human rights, the Ombudsman's Office, the Family Commissioner, the San Rafael Hospital, the Ingenio Providencia and the Air Combat Command No. 7 of the Colombian Aerospace Force, it was possible to benefit the inhabitants of this place, bringing well-being to their families and contributing to the improvement of the quality of life of the inhabitants of El Placer.
