With a massive participation of the citizens of the municipality of Trujillo, in the department of Valle del Cauca, the Colombian Air Force, in coordination with the Mayor's Office, the Local Santa Cruz Hospital, the People's Representative for Human Rights and other related institutions, managed to successfully provide a wide variety of health services.
This Medical and Humanitarian Assistance Activity, AAMHU, which was called by the local authorities as the first health festival, led to the generation of 1,212 free medical care in specialties such as general medicine, pediatrics, pain medicine, gerontology, dentistry, physiotherapy, speech therapy, respiratory therapy, breast examination, screening, nursing services and pharmacy.
In the same way, another 435 additional services were provided, which included vaccination and deworming of dogs and felines, legal orientations, recreation, aesthetic nail care, barber shop and also presents distribution. Including the latter services, it is estimated that 1,647 services were provided during the activity.
It is important to note that, in addition to benefiting the inhabitants of the municipal seat, the AAMHU in the same way favored the residents of the villages of Huasano and Robledo, as well as the migrant and indigenous inhabitants who live in Trujillo and its surroundings.
