In the course of territorial operations by the units of the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Caquetá and the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the National Police, five individuals allegedly members of common crime were arrested.
The arrest was made possible in the municipality of Florencia, in which Military, Police and Urban Special Forces Battalion Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) men made effective an arrest order for the crimes of extortion and association to commit crimes.
It should be noted that those arrested were wanted for intimidating through extortion calls and WhatsApp messages in which they made monetary extortions from merchants in the region in exchange for allowing them to continue with their jobs and not attack the good physical condition of them and their families.
They were put into custody of the Local Prosecutor's Office 19 of Florencia- Caquetá
