In a decisive step to strengthen institutional transparency, the General Command of the Military Forces, COGFM, officially presented the new Guide for the Prevention and Reporting of Acts of Corruption. This tool is not only a normative document, but the central axis of a strategy that seeks to consolidate a culture of honesty under the premise of Zero Tolerance for Corruption.
The presentation activity, led by the Directorate for the Implementation of Transparency and Ethics Standards (DANTE), brought together 78 representatives of the different branches and dependencies of the general command of the military forces. During the meeting, the new action protocols were drawn up and will lead each member of the Military Forces of Colombian National Army, the Colombian Navy, Aerospace Force and civilians to identify and report in a timely manner any irregularity that threatens the resources and honor of the defense sector.
Lieutenant Colonel Johann Rodrigo Camacho Guzmán, director of DANTE, was in charge of opening the session with a call for individual responsibility. The officer emphasized that the success of this initiative lies in the proper use of reporting tools and the appropriation of the principles of integrity by each member of the institution.
One of the most relevant items of the presentation was the ratification of the Anti-Corruption Line 157 as the only official telephone means enabled for the reception of specific denunciations about corruption. Although the traditional channels of requests, denunciations and claims (PQR) are constant for other procedures, the 157 consolidates as the technical bastion to protect the transparency of the General Command.
In order to work so that the information is accessible at all times, the institution has prepared the use of QR codes in its dependencies. Upon scanning them, the visitors are immediately directed to the web site of the General Command, where they can consult the complete guide and the supporting documents governing this new public ethics protocol.
Through this regulatory update, the military Forces are not only modernizing their processes, but sending a clear message to the country: state protection begins with full transparency at home.
