From November 17th to 21th, 2025, the General Command of the Military Forces, through the Joint Transition Command (CCOET), was visited by the group of officers of the Center for Military History and Social Sciences of the German Military Forces.
The agenda included a two-day conference at the General Rafael Reyes Prieto Superior War College (ESDEG), aimed at officers and non-commissioned officers in training of Colombian National Army, Colombian Navy and Colombian Aerospace Force, as well as Professional Officers of the Reserve (POR) and personnel of the National Police. These sessions provided relevant tools for their daily operation, fostered interest in military history and promoted reflection on national historical memory.
In addition, the German delegation visited La Candelaria Military Museum Bogotá downtown and, in the municipality of Tocancipá, the Military Forces Museum and the Colombian Aerospace Force Museum, emblematic spaces that contribute to strengthening international cooperation and cultural and historical exchange between the two nations.
This experience not only strengthens the historical and cultural ties between Colombia and Germany, but in the same way contributes to the comprehensive training of military and police personnel, promoting respect and value for historical memory as a pillar for understanding institutional activity. Undoubtedly, initiatives like this strengthen international cooperation and the promotion of a military identity aware of its legacy and commitment to society.
