Graduation of international pilots in Melgar: ready to fly a helicopter

Graduaci贸n de pilotos internacionales en Melgar: preparados para volar un helic贸ptero

During an outstanding ceremony, the closing of the Basic Helicopter Course No. 92, made on the TH-67 " CREEK " equipment, at the Helicopter School for the Military Forces, recognized as the only one of its kind in Latin America. This course, which was carried out over eight months, aimed to provide comprehensive training to 12 Officers from Guatemala, Honduras, Panama and the Dominican Republic, preparing them with the necessary skills to operate helicopters with the highest level of competence and safety.

 

The closing ceremony took place in the auditorium of the Air Combat Command No. 4, CACOM 4, where Colonel Pablo C茅sar Pab贸n Forero, Commander of the Unit, granted the Basic Helicopter Pilot badges on the graduated Officers, who urged them to continue with commitment and passion in their future career, always maintaining professionalism and responsibility, in the same way he emphasized that the real challenge begins now, urging them to implement and expand the knowledge obtained to contribute [their abilities] with honor and efficiency.

 

The program included a rigorous instruction, made up of theoretical and practical phases, supervised by a team of flight instructors from CACOM 4. This methodology led the participants to receive a thorough and practical education, preparing them to effectively fulfill the missions assigned in their respective Air Forces.

 

At Melgar, Tolima, the International Helicopter School for the Military Forces, EIHFA, will continue to lead innovative academic processes in military aviation, thus reaffirming its commitment to the training of elite pilots and the continuous development of military aviation at a global level.
