After the follow-up being carried out by regional authorities in different parts of Northern Colombia, it was possible to identify the whereabouts of alias Osama.

Thanks to the coordinated operation, it was possible to identify the point where alias Osama was, who was one of the ringleaders of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, and who led the criminal operation of this group in the departments of Atlántico, Sucre, Bolívar and Cesar, in charge of recruiting personnel that would led the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, to extend it to the city of Valledupar.

For his arrest, a previous deployment of Colombian Air Force aircraft was carried out, which, together with the effort of the National Police on the surface, could detect the ringleader, making his arrest in the municipality of El tránsito, which is two hours of the capital city of Cesar, where he was with two more people, who were in the same way put into custody of the authorities.
