In a joint, coordinated and interagency operation the Colombian Air Force, the National Army, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office after thorough work in the Bilbao village, municipality of Planadas, Tolima, killed in combat alias Shrek, ringleader of the law and order group; troops also arrested alias Veneco, guerrilla escort. They belonged to the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Ismael Ruiz substructure.
Alias Shrek was carrying out different homicides with firearms in the municipalities of Rioblanco, Planadas and Ataco; he was in the same way the coordinator of the GAO support networks, Ismael Ruiz, in the villages of Bilbao and the aforementioned municipalities.
With this result, the Ismael Ruiz substructure is significantly hit, whose members were in the process of increasing the extortions against merchants in different municipalities of Tolima.
