Heavy blow to the front “Juan Fernando Porras Martínez” of the GAO Eln

In the course of military operations, a member of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Eln died. War material, military accessories and a large quantity of precursors to obtain cocaine hydrochloride were found.

 

In compliance with the Border Plan of the Ministry, within the framework of the Esparta Military and Police Campaign, in a Joint, Coordinated and Interagency operation of the National Army, the Air Force, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, the troops fought with members of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Eln, who were taking care of a drug trafficking construction.

 

The operation carried out in the Remolinos hamlet, a rural area in the municipality of Sardinata, reported the death in military operations of a female member of the Juan Fernando Porras Martínez front of the GAO Eln, the discovery of five rifles, two pistols, 34 magazines, two grenades, more than four thousand cartridges of different calibers, seven multipurpose vests and 10 field bags.

 

The laboratory used by the armed group for drug trafficking, had a production capacity of approximately three tons of cocaine hydrochloride per month. In the five sections of the construction, a large amount of liquid, solid and elements used in the production of the drug were found.

 

This year, the National Army has achieved 48 hits against the Gao Eln, with 26 voluntary surrenders, 17 captures and three deaths in the course of military operations, reaffirming its commitment to protect the State and its resources.
