This coca complex would belong to the Yeison Leudo Chaverra Substructure, which has criminal interference in this sector of the Bajo Cauca in Antioquia subregion.
Within the framework of operations in the fight to combat drug trafficking, soldiers of the Airborne Infantry Battalion N.° 31 Rifles, attached to the Eleventh Brigade, and the Aviation Mobility and Maneuver Battalion N.° 7, of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the National Police (DIRAN), reported the finding and controlled destruction of an important laboratory for production cocaine hydrochloride, a blow that significantly hits the illicit finances of the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
The members of the Military Forces arrived at the village of Caño Prieto, municipality of Cáceres, Antioquia, where they found a rustic structure for the manufacture of the drug, consisting of six more structures for the different processes.
This illegal complex contained 2,050 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, 1,200 kilograms of solid supplies, and more than 3,600 gallons of liquid supplies.
In the same way, machinery and equipment such as furnaces, distillation tower, presses, power generators, and a vehicle were found by troops. These and other elements that were used for this illegal activity were destroyed in controlled conditions in accordance with the protocols and legal parameters in force.
The dismantling of this laboratory represents a powerful blow against the illicit activities of the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, taking into account that the complex produced more than three tons of cocaine per month, which hits the organization's illicit revenues by 13 million dollars.
It was in the same way possible to prevent the trafficking and distribution of 3,200,000 doses to markets of international consumption.
