Heavy blows by Military Forces against residual GAO and GAO ELN in Vichada

cogfm-ejercito-operaciones-contra-gao-residual-gao-eln-vichada-incautacion-marihuana-20.jpg

In Joint operations conducted by the National Army, National Navy, Air Force, and in coordination with the National Police and the Attorney Office, important blows that weakened the logistical and financial activities of the residual Organized Armed Group (GAO-r) Estructura Uno (E-1) and GAO ELN, were dealt in the department of Vichada.

Using intelligence information, soldiers of the Twenty-eighth Brigade, of the Eighth Division of the National Army, during a territorial control operation captured a red-handed individual carrying about 700 kilograms of marijuana, which would belong to the José Daniel Perez Carrero front, of the GAO ELN.

This operation was carried out in the municipality of Santa Rosalia, specifically in Guacacias, Vichada, where a truck carried 26 bags of illicit substances. The person who was in the vehicle was captured and put into custody of the judicial authorities along with the material found.

In a second operation, Ground Operations Battalion troops No.28 submit to justice three individuals, in Puerto Principe and Chupave, of the municipality of Cumaribo. One of these people is a woman, who apparently would have served as a nurse. They were allegedly members of the residual Armando Rios GAO E-1, of the Santiago Lozada group. This structure, according to military intelligence, would have participated in the murder of three marines on the Uva River, in the municipality of Cumaribo, Vichada, on June 29, 2020.
