Thanks to the timely denunciation, the authorities found these individuals and reported their arrest in flagrante delicto.
In a recent military operation, soldiers of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group)y Group Oriente of the Fourth Brigade, with the support of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) and the Local Prosecutor's Office 64, of Marinilla, reported the arrest in flagrante of two alleged members of the Gener Morales Substructure, of the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, in the village La Rivera, of the municipality of Marinilla, department of Antioquia.
The operation was made possible thanks to the denunciations of the community, which led to the initiation of intelligence and monitoring efforts to find these individuals, who apparently threatened their victims and demanded high amounts of money.
During the operation, war materiel was found, including a revolver, a pistol and ammunition of various calibers.
Those arrested were put into custody of the judicial authority and will have to face charges for the crime of extortion, in addition to manufacturing, carrying or trafficking firearms and ammunition.
