Human and technical work is decisive in the extinction of forest fires

Un trabajo humano y técnico, decisivo en la extinción de incendios forestales

The forest fire extinguishments not only imply the deployment of the resources that the Colombian Air Force has, but in the same way the meticulous work carried out by a group of men and women, who are in charge of the responsibility of maintaining in total preparation the aircraft and equipment used for these missions.

That is why the Technical Group of the No. 5 Air Combat Command is in charge of the major maintenance of the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters; aircraft that play a fundamental role in supporting the tasks that different authorities conduct on the ground. Its capacity, speed and versatility leads to increased effectiveness in fire containment.

This group of men with their constant, specialization, preparation, professionalism and training are responsible for all the maintenance of the structural components of the Black Hawk team, works that keep these aircraft in total preparation to work properly.

With their work they contribute indirectly in the fulfillment of the institutional mission and although they are not directly at the place of conflagrations, they are proud of, with the quality of their work forged under efficiency and effectiveness, the deployment of these helicopters throughout the national territory to support any emergency that arises is successful, contributing from this beautiful department to the country and the well-being of the Colombian people.
