Humanitarian aeromedical evacuation from Peru saves the life of injured Colombian

Evacuación aeromédica humanitaria desde Perú salva la vida de colombiano herido

In an ambulance aircraft or King-350 of the Colombian Aerospace Force, the aeromedical evacuation of a 40-year-old Colombian patient was carried out quickly and timely, from the village El Estrecho, Peru, in the border area, to the city of Bogotá.

In this humanitarian mission, led by the Amazon Air Group, in coordination with the Military Transport Air Command (CATAM) and the National Personnel Recovery Center (CENRP), answer the request made by the Emergency and Emergency Regulatory Center (CRUE) of the Amazon which counted on the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, to safeguard the life and integrity of the Colombian.

The patient had rifle shot wounds and required to return to the country urgently to receive specialized medical assistance.

During the two-and-a-half-hour flight from the Amazonas region, the injured man was permanently monitored by the military professionals of the crew, who ensured the stability of his health condition during the journey, until his arrival in the capital city of the country and being transferred to the El Tunal Hospital.
