Humanitarian aid of the Air Force for the inhabitants of the Magdalena Center

cogfm-fuerza-aerea-ayudas-humanitarias-cacom1-habitantes-magdalena-centro-25.jpg

Despite the fact that, as of September 1, the National Government lifted many of the restrictions ordered due to the pandemic in the country, many families still have a difficult economic situation, that is why the Air Force through the Air Combat Command N. 1, continues to support with food baskets these vulnerable houses of the Magdalena Center, achieving that with these kits of aid so that they can overcome this difficult moment.

There are already 568 food baskets distributed in the most disadvantaged neighborhoods of La Dorada, Caldas and Puerto Salgar, in Cundinamarca, where many of the inhabitants lost their jobs and others are just beginning to reactivate their economic activity. Similarly, 190 children's nutrition kits with special nutritional products for children have been distributed.

For this social operation, a collection was made by the military and civilian personnel of the unit, who donated different products of the family basket and items such as clothes, shoes and toys in good condition; donations were distributed door to door by some officials of the unit.

With this type of activities, the staff of the Palanquero Air Base, shows their social commitment and interest in providing a helping hand to the people most in need, confirming with concrete facts where social responsibility is one of the main objectives of the Colombian Air Force.
