Humanitarian aid continues to arrive in Ituango, Antioquia, in Colombian Air Force helicopters

Due to the difficult humanitarian situation currently experienced by the inhabitants of the municipality of Ituango, Antioquia, the operations of the Colombian Air Force are continuous in this area, where UH-60 Black Hawk aircraft have been arranged to continue transporting essential items, food and medicine, in order to provide the more than 4,000 victims.

 

It is estimated that approximately 40 tons of these elements will be transported in Colombian Air Force helicopters, 10 have already been distributed to the people who are in the different shelters arranged in this region receiving assistance from the Victims Unit. 

 

Relief agencies, municipal and departmental work alongside military and Police authorities, with the aim of providing security and comprehensive care to the people, was as well as the Minister of the interior Daniel Palacios who traveled to this municipality to provide support in the emergency that hits the community by the heavy rains and the forced displacement.

 

The Colombian Air Force is ready to go as far as necessary, safeguarding the lives and good physical condition of those who need it most.
