Soldiers of the Humanitarian Demining Engineer Battalion N.° 5 destroyed, in controlled conditions, one anti-personnel mine found in the hamlet Monterrey, municipality of Puerto Rico, department of Caquetá, as part of the work carried out by Colombian National Army to protect the inhabitants and recover safe spaces.
Through this operation, there are already three explosive devices eliminated during 2026 by manual demining in this area of the department, contributing to the reduction of the risk to the inhabitants and strengthening security conditions.
