An illegal hideout with about 1,700 gallons of petroleum was dismantled

Norte de Santander. In military operations framed within the Campaign of stabilization and consolidation 'Victoria', the Task Force Vulcano, a military unit of the Second Division of the National Army, found an illegal hideout that hid about 1,700 gallons of petroleum; at the same time an illegal valve used for the theft of hydrocarbons was found.

Soldiers of the Engineers Battalion No. 30, through offensive operations, in the village La Cuatro in the municipality of Tib煤 - Norte de Santander, find and destroy an illegal hideout with 1,680 gallons of light petroleum in approximately 30 barrels, it would have been stolen of the Ca帽o Lim贸n Cove帽as pipeline through an illicit valve connected to the line of one of the wells, which was in the same way found and later removed and sealed by specialized technical personnel of Ecopetrol.

The theft of hydrocarbons, heavily attacks on natural resources, since the practice of this crime causes irreparable damage to the environment by irrigating vegetation, causing loss of the native forest, immediately hits the quality of the fauna and flora available in the area, in this case the Catatumbo region.

The National Army through the Second Division and the Vulcano Task Force continues to conduct military operations in the Catatumbo region, directly hitting the structures and finances of outlaw armed groups. In addition, it calls on the civilian population to denounce, through lines 146 and 147, any suspicious act against the freedom of the community and the natural resources of the region.
