From indigenous hands and brave women, change is born in the Amazon region

De manos indígenas y mujeres valientes, nace el cambio en el Amazonas

The Battalion of Support and Comprehensive operation N°.6 of Colombian National Army, in a non-Marine operation works for social wellbeing, and accompanied the realization of the Peasant Market, Entrepreneurial Women's Fair 2025 in Leticia, Amazonas, an event that became a real engine of change for the region.

More than 200 women, mostly heads of households and belonging to indigenous communities, participated with their ventures in handicrafts, gastronomy, nurseries, clothing and much more, benefiting about 450 people. This farmers' market is a palpable demonstration of the transformative power of female talent and the local economy.

"Our family entrepreneurship project was born six months ago of the heart of our home, and we are very happy to have this exhibition that the Army gives us. Thanks to this support, we can show our work with pride and continue to grow," said Kilian Martínez, from by Eli Tortas.

"This is the second participation in the Entrepreneurial Women's Fair, a space that represents the dignity and work of all of us. At Taller de Artesanías El Jaguar, we take this opportunity to promote and sell our products with great pride."
