The Regional Autonomous Corporation of the Orinoquia, Corporinoquia and the Eastern Air Group, GAORI, carried out the first meeting of the year in the city of Yopal, department of Casanare, to address issues on environmental conservation and sustainable development in the region.
The meeting was attended by Mrs. Diana Carolina Mariño Mondragón, director of Corporinoquia and the Second Commander of the GAORI, Lieutenant Colonel Luis Fernando Gómez García, who coordinated ideas to strengthen strategies to be carried out in the area of influence of the Military Unit, in the departments of Vichada and Guainía.
Environmental projects related to the rescue and transfer of fauna, preservation of the natural wealth of the Orinoquia and the finding of rare earths and mineral mixtures such as coltan, were priority topics at the meeting.
