Sixteen Cacao producers of the Comprehensive Development Project of the Colombian Southeast, received a technical follow-up visit by the National Cacao Fund FEDECACAO, the objective was to monitor the practices implemented by these farmers around disease control, growth pruning, maintenance and recuperation of plantations.
This visit, is an essential step towards a prosperous development for the community, it is a work to continue sowing hope in villages such as El Carmen, Hericha, Campo Alegre and Puerto Las Mercedes of the municipality of Solano. In the same way, it leads to guarantee a higher quality production and contribute to the strengthening of the family economy of the producers.
Finally, the Comprehensive operation Center of the Colombian Aerospace Force, the Air Combat Command N. 6, the Committee of Cacao Producers PROCACAO and FEDECACAO, held the closing meeting at the Cacao collection center of Solano to learn the results of this activity, give feedback on the visit and make an instruction to producers to contribute to the process of production, marketing and transportation of native products, this meeting in the same way counted on the participation of Mr. Óscar Grijalba, Coordinator of the municipal Agricultural Technical Assistance Office of Solano.
The Colombian Aerospace Force, since 2023, has been supporting the families of the farmers of Solano by promoting the growth of agriculture in this region, putting its military and logistical operations resources and its human talent at the service of the Colombian southeast.
