With this result, the commercialization of 608 thousand doses of the drug on the streets of the world was prevented.

In a decisive operation against drug trafficking in the Colombian Caribbean, units of the Colombian Navy carried out the interception of a boat manned by seven individuals carrying more than 240 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.

In the Cuatro Calles sector, in the bay of Cartagena - Bolívar, it was possible to present this important result, after a trained dog of the Cartagena Coast Guard Station carried out a thorough inspection on a Colombian flagged ship that was intercepted during a maritime interception procedure.

During the search, a compartment was found in the double bottom mode that hid 14 boxes with 238 rectangular packages, which when put under the Approved Preliminary Identification Test - PIPH, left positive result for 243 kilograms cocaine hydrochloride.

According to intelligence information, the ship would have sailed from Cartagena bound for the Gulf of Urabá. Among the seven individuals were six Colombians and one Cuban. The arrested personnel and the material were put into custody of the authorities.

Thanks to this operation, which is constant in its the Caribbean Naval Force, more than 608 thousand doses of this drug stopped circulating on the streets of the world, preventing eight million dollars from entering the finances of the Organized Armed Group , GAO, Clan del Golfo.
