More than 93,000 residents of Valle del Cauca will benefit from an activity to support the health system of the municipality of Candelaria led by the Colombian Aerospace Force which achieved the transportation of pharmaceutical supplies to support the healthcare services of the E.S.E. Local Hospital to strengthen health care.
In order to carry out this solidarity action, military personnel of the Comprehensive Action Section of the Air Combat Command No. 7 held various coordination activities with officials of the municipal Mayor's Office and with the businessmen who made the donations. These meetings facilitated the planning and coordination of the process, ensuring an efficient and transparent management of the distributed resources.
The supplies provided include serums, vitamins for initial stages of growth, treatments for the daily control of chronic diseases and medicines for the management of common respiratory conditions, among others. These elements will strengthen the comprehensive and preventive care provided to the community.
The Hospital de Candelaria is a first-level institution and constitutes the main reference in health care for the community. From this center essential services such as emergencies and outpatient consultation are provided, it works by raising primary care in the area. The contribution received will optimize the response capacity to the most frequent medical vulnerabilities of the inhabitants.
Through this type of initiatives, the Colombian Aerospace Force reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the social fabric and accompanying communities, working in coordination with the territorial authorities and the private sector in order to focus institutional efforts to support the delivery of essential services and contribute to improving the quality of life in the territories.
