The Joint Task Force for Stabilization and Consolidation Hercules in joint military operations conducted by the National Army and the Colombian Air Force neutralize six explosive devices in the municipality of Sabaleta in the District of Tumaco, in the department of Nariño, belonging to the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Structure Iván Ríos.

In the military operation, troops of the Jungle Battalion No.53, after combat against members of this structure, and with the helicopter support of pilots of the Air Combat Command No.7 neutralize these explosive devices and found six detonators, a launching pad and 15 meters of slow fuse. According to military intelligence, these explosives were being planted to attack troops who carry out military operations in this area.

In the frame of the finding of the explosive devices, the area was cordoned off and security protocols were implemented for their activation under controlled conditions.

This result neutralizes the intentions of the Iván Ríos structure, under the command of the ringleader alias Uriel, which wants to attack civilians and troops in the region, planting these devices indiscriminately, which becomes a violation of the IHL.
