To date, the Joint Task Force Omega has lost 429 men because of the Armed Conflict in the country.
Caquetá. The land, sea and air soldiers of the Omega Joint Task Force came together to commemorate the National Day of Memory and Solidarity with the members of the Public Force Victims of the armed conflict.
The main activity of this commemoration had as its epicenter the monument of the Omega Joint Task Force at the Larandia Military Fort in Caquetá, where the soldier Diego Fernando Capera Alviz was honored. He was a victim of the Conflict in 2008 when the company of the Rapid Deployment Force No. 1 was attacked in a sector prepared in Uribe, in the department of Meta.
In the same way, the monument was blessed in honor of all those men who have fallen in the fulfillment of the mission.
On the other hand, in the municipality of La Macarena, the Rapid Deployment Force No. 1 commemorated this occasion accompanied by the National Police and the civilian population, honoring all of those heroes who have risked their health and lives to safeguard the sovereignty of the country.
It should be noted that the units attached to the Joint Task Force Omega, in the same way, paid tribute to the victims of the Public Forces of the Nation in Guaviare, Meta and Caquetá.
