Meta. In the framework of military operations carried out by the Joint Task Force Omega in the southeast of the country, in recent hours, an illegal structure that was used for the production of coca base paste was found and destroyed.
The structure destroyed by soldiers of the Ground Operations Battalion No. 7, the Marine Infantry Battalion No 32 in coordination with the National Police, in the village El Dorado, municipality of Puerto Rico, in the department of Meta, contained approximately 125 kilos of chopped coca leaf, 240 gallons of coca leaf in process, 180 gallons of coca base in process and other liquid and solid precursors used for the production of alkaloids.
In this way, the Joint Task Force Omega maintains its operation against the Organized Residual Armed Groups that commit crimes in the south-east of the country whose criminal operations hinder the region and harm the well-being of the community.
