Meta. Troops of the Joint Task Force 'Omega', in the hamlet La Esperanza, municipality of Puerto Rico, Meta, with the support of the Explosives and Demolitions Team (EXDE) of the National Army, found and destroyed under controlled conditions, 71 antipersonnel mines that were inside a container in the middle of a wooded area of the aforementioned hamlet.
According to the information received, it is presumed that the mines belonged to the Organized Armed Group, Seventh Structure, who commit crimes in this area of the country who would use this material to attack on the civilian population and the troops that operate in this area of Meta.
In this way the Joint Task Force 'Omega' manages to neutralize these operations of the Organized Armed Groups in favor of the safety of the civilian population, safeguarding the good physical condition of the community.
