Abundant explosive material was found in the place that would be being prepared to attack the troops carrying out operations in the area.
Troops of the Joint Task Force Omega, in operations in the department of Meta, found an illegal hideout containing almost two thousand anti-personnel mines, loaded with about 0.5 kilograms of explosive each, and abundant material for the manufacture.
The finding of the material was possible in the municipality of Los Andes, in Puerto Concordia, where it was later destroyed under controlled conditions by personnel expert in handling explosives.
These elements would belong to the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, called Jorge Briceño Suárez and would be being prepared to attack the troops carrying out military operations in the area, putting civilians at risk.
