Within the framework of Operation Gratitude, led by the Caribbean Air Group in alliance with the Minuto de Dios Organization Corporation and with the valuable support of the National Navy (ARC), JAC Sound Bay, the Government of San Andrés and the Estervi company, an outstanding outreach activity was carried out with the inhabitants in various sectors of the island of San Andrés.
This solidarity activity reaffirmed the commitment of institutions and companies to the wellbeing of the most vulnerable communities of the Archipelago.
The activity included the distribution of presents at two key points. In the Sound Bay sector, 80 children received presents that included dolls, put-together toys and footballs. For its part, 179 presents were distributed to the SENA (National Learning service), including footballs, dolls, armable toys and shoes generously donated by Estervi. These accessories were mainly aimed at children up to 11 years old, who benefited directly thanks to this joint operation.
In total, 259 children in sectors such as Sound Bay, Las Gaviotas, Simpson Well and Tom Hooker were benefited by this initiative. The distribution of these presents not only provided joy to the little ones, but in the same way brought hope and tangible support to the families of these communities, many of whom face conditions of vulnerability.
The Colombian Aerospace Force will continue through this multi sectors work emphasizing the importance of collaboration conducted by public, private and social institutions to generate positive changes in the most vulnerable communities.
Operations such as Gratitude strengthen the ties between institutions and citizens, demonstrating that unity and solidarity are key to progress and collective well-being in the Archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina.
