Soldiers of the Engineering Battalion No.50, build roads within Medium Combined firearms Task Force No.1, FUTAM in Spanish.

On March 5, 2020, the Battalion of Construction Engineers No.50 General Roberto Perea Sanclemente, BICON50, began with project planning work and excavations in the sector of the road towards the troop ranch, to later transport to the work fronts in the sectors of access to the soldier's shop, maneuver yard, access to the airstrip, sub officers barracks of the FUTAM and finally to the front road, where 350 meters were built in flexible pavement.

That's how the men in the Construction Engineering Battalion n.50, presented the internal roads to Colonel Carlos Alfredo Castro Pinzón, commander of FUTAM, stationed in the municipality of Distracción, La Guajira.

The Military Engineers, with their resources, are not only improving the roads in the Military Forts of the National Army, but in the same way in the areas of priority assistance of the national territory.

The men and women of the Construction Engineers Battalion are preparing to carry out the maintenance of 24.8 kilometers of tertiary roads in the municipality of Tibú, in Norte de Santander.

The National Army will continue to carry out works for the Communities that need it most throughout Colombia.
