The institution will in the same way have in several regions of the country special groups of units trained and prepared in risk management, who will be able to react to eventual natural disasters, especially those that may be caused by the rains.

With the aim of ensuring the safety and mobility of more than one million people, who are estimated to make their journeys during this Holy Week, the National Army had the Viaje Seguro Plan, with more than 10,000 men and women in strategic points of the national territory.

231 roads will be covered with 375 checkpoints in touristic places so that people enjoy a few quiet days.

In Cundinamarca, Antioquia, Valle de Cauca, Nariño, Cesar, Magdalena, Casanare, Caquetá, the Coffee Axis and Huila, among others, the National Army activated special risk management groups. These members of the Military Forces, equipped with tools and trained in disaster response, will be available to provide support in any situations such as landslides, rising rivers, collapsed structures, forest fires, among others, and they will remain available to provide support and to respond quickly and timely.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism estimates that during this Easter at least 1.3 million people will travel, including nationals and foreigners, which will represent a growth of 6% of visitors compared to the same period in 2019.

In the same way, in a joint, coordinated and inter-institutional way with the Colombian Navy, the Colombian Air Force, the National Police, the Attorney General's Office, as well as regional and municipal authorities, support and work will be provided permanently not only on roads, but on the rivers that serve as communication ways.

In the same way, with helicopters and unmanned aircraft, constant monitoring will be carried out to prevent or detect in real time situations that may disturb the free mobility of travelers.

In addition to working to ensure safety and tranquility on the road, the more than 10,000 members of the Military Forces will be guiding drivers and passengers on the importance of implementing biosecurity protocols in order to continue mitigating COVID-19.

In the same way, troops work with the Light Cavalry Brigades and the military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), with the aim of protecting citizens of the problem of extortion, kidnapping or any other disturbance of law and order.

The commitment of all the members of the institution leads to the opportunity to travel with confidence on the roads of our country.
