Troops of the Seventh Brigade carry out territorial control tasks in the department of Meta and act with the power of the military operation weakening the resources of the threat and its illicit activities.
Troops of the Meta Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) and the Special, Energy and Road Battalion No. 15 identified four individuals who apparently would be part of the substructure 39 Arcesio Niño and were intimidating the inhabitants with eviction or death, in villages such as Tillavá, Oasis, and Cuernavaca, pretending to members of the Second Marquetalia to collect double extortion. This operation was made possible with the support of the Aerospace Force in Puerto Gaitán.
These individuals generated approximately $700,000,000 COP monthly for the illegal group.
On the other hand, deforestation in Colombia has increased according to the figures left by the reports of the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (IDEAM) 2022.
