The work of about 40 members of the Military Forces, with the support of Invias, made it possible to build the work that will serve to restore vehicle traffic and thus boost the economy in this region of the north of the country.
After the cowardly terrorist operation perpetrated by the ELN on Wednesday, February 23, on the Los Trujillos bridge, on the national road that connects the municipalities of Curuman铆 with Pailitas, Cesar, the National Army, with the support of Invias, presented the military bridge to restore vehicular traffic.
The work was distributed in less than 72 hours, a record time work that led to the immediate circulation, especially of cargo vehicles that mostly transported food, agricultural precursors and industrial supplies.
The structure, 27 meters long, is a triple reinforced Acrow bridge and has the capacity to withstand up to 52 tons. From Valledupar, Bucaramanga and the Military Training Center in Tolemaida, military engineers of the National Army transported heavy machinery, tools, modular parts and about 40 of their trained men to provide support in this kind of emergency situations.
On this important national road axis, the Army reinforced its work with several special operations, with the objective of working for the security of this area and thus led the citizens to continue with their commercial and daily activities.
