Loyal to their vocation of service and with a solid sense of commitment, Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers of the Maintenance Air Command (CAMAN) and the Comprehensive operation Center (CEAIN), carry out a Medical and Humanitarian Assistance Activity with the purpose of contributing to the well-being and quality of life of the inhabitants of Sutamarchán, Boyacá department.
This activity was carried out in a coordinated work with the Mayor's Office of Sutamarchán, the Fernando Murillo Foundation, the Colombian League Against Cancer, Colsubsidio Drugstores, the El Minuto de Dios Organization Corporation and the Colombian Federation of Livestock Farmers, and benefited 1,075 people, who received 2,386 services of assistance in the different health and social development branches.
With the accompaniment of Colonel Javier Hernán Jiménez Garzón, Commander of the Air Maintenance Command, the activity was held Saturday, November 15th and Sunday, November 16th at the facilities of the Hector Julio Gómez School, in Sutamarchán, Boyacá department, where people received medical assistance in various specialties such as general medicine, gynecology and obstetrics, cytology, pediatrics, vaccination, nutrition, gastroenterology, dentistry, optometry, speech therapy, psychology, physiotherapy, dermatology, tests of prostate, breast examination and mammography, in addition to receiving medications, which led to cover basic vulnerabilities and strengthen trust between the inhabitants and the institutions that work for the safety and well-being of the community.
Moved by social responsibility, the Air Maintenance Command, in coordination with the Mayor's Office of Sutamarchán and the El Minuto de Dios Organization Corporation, distributed eleven wheelchairs to people with disabilities with various mobility difficulties. In the same way, the Fernando Murillo Foundation distributed 21 dental prostheses to inhabitants of the municipality of Sutamarchán, department of Boyacá. These prostheses will lead the beneficiaries to improve their chewing, facilitate communication and regain self-confidence, contributing to their overall well-being and quality of life.
During the activity, several beneficiaries expressed their gratitude and satisfaction for the services received. Among them, Yalile Sofía Russi Coy and her family expressed their immense gratitude for the medical assistance received, the wheelchair given to her father, Mr. Lisandro Russi, and the medicines provided. This support represents a significant change in his quality of life, as it will lead him to move more safely.
