In the midst of firefight, the Military Forces arrest 2 members of the residual GAO, structure 30 Rafael Aguilera

The individuals had in their possession war material and military accessories of the Military Forces, in addition explosive devices to attack against the troops in the area of operations.

 

Within the framework of the Plan Perseo, Sanquianga Seguro, the Hercules Joint Stabilization and Consolidation Task Force in development of a joint and coordinated operation with its land and river components of the Army, Navy and Police, arrested two individuals, and found war material belonging to the residual Organized Armed Group, structure 30 Rafael Aguilera.

 

After a heavy firefight in the municipality of El Charco, department of Nariño, against alleged members of this structure, it was possible the arrest of these two individuals, who had in their possession abundant war material including a rifle, a shotgun, three pistols, a revolver, ammunition, different types of ammunition and two explosive devices, which would be used to attack against civilians and security forces in the area of operations.

 

The material and the two individuals were put into custody of the authorities for their respective prosecution.
