In operations carried out in the department of Valle del Cauca against the Residual Organized Armed Groups, GAO-r, the Colombian Air Force in joint operation with the National Army and coordinated with the National Police, dismantle an illegal hideout, belonging to Structure 6 Jaime Martínez, in the municipality of Santa María, municipality of Dagua.
In the place was found important war material, including explosive devices, 9 grenades, 1 grenade launcher, 8 rifles, 1,853 cartridges of different calibers and magazines, among other elements.
Likewise, the arrest of an alleged member of this structure and the discovery of clothing for the exclusive use of the Military Forces and the National Police, in addition to bracelets alluding to this group outside the law, took also place.
The individual arrested and the materials were put into custody of the authorities.
This decisive blow to outlaw groups complements the operations carried out by the Military Forces in southwestern Colombia to combat illegality and provide security to the inhabitants of this region of the country.
